Sometimes we can hear it. Sometimes we feel its vibrations instead. No signal is perfect. The beats skip. My heart skips. Why can’t I stop smiling? Touch the sounds. Eat the smells. Take the empty air and rub it all over you. Grasp at the invisible. The electrical currents between people and how unexplainable they are. How imperceivable they can be. How quiet. The static between you and me. 

Troy Foundry Theatre presents The Broken Record and the Oddity, a sound performance installation on March 23 - April 2 at 51 3rd St., Troy, NY 12180. Created by Travis Wright (TFT company member/Sound Design) and Katie Pedro (TFT Associate Artistic Director) and performed by Morgan Heyward (TFT Associate Artist), Raya Malcolm (TFT Associate Artistic Director) & Travis Wright, this project explores how memory is associated with sound.
